Summer holidays part 2!

We are half way through our summer vacation and today is the first official day where the weather is actually “summer” (We’re going to the beach). That’s ok, cause mission one this vacation has been to finish Palomas bedroom. IKEA furniture, knicks and knacks from odd small stores and wall paint for funny animals on the wall. TADAAA:

Hanging out with friends and family (a little party maybe – thanks Steve and Philip for my well deserved hangover), fixing Palomas room has been our main activities (a little golf for me). So for the remainder of our vacation we’ll be going to a wedding (Brian and Katja), birthdays (Paolo this weekend), going to the beach and just listening to Paloma yap away. Yes she is at the early stages of talking (or yapping) to Christinas and my delight!

Night in the wine cellar – U missed out

We were supposed to have been 5 guys at Was’ place for some wine and good food. But it turned out to be just myself and the host as the other 3 cancelled in the last moment (I believe there was some sick calls etc. yada, yada!) Well we drank wine and ate good food so for the guys who missed out look here to see what you missed out on!

Update

Hey folks it’s been a while. I know! I’ve been on leave for 2,5 weeks now. It’s cool being at home with my little family Paloma is just getting bigger and bigger (that reminds me that her page needs an update as well). The whole of last week I was out with a sore throat, snotty nose and a ridiculous cough and the weather here in DK was freakin tropical. Just my luck!

Before going on leave I got a new position at work, I’ll be working as a Product Sales Manager. I know I don’t talk much about my job here but I just feel like the character “Chandler Bing” from “Friends” The guy who loves his job but nobody knows what he’s doing. Anyway I’m looking forward to it when I get back!

What else? Oh yeah, Saturday was a great evening. Zaragoza-Real Madrid/Barca-Espanyol/Mallorca-Sevilla, 3 ties to keep Madrid on top and the timing of the goals in two of the matches, wow. It was a rollercoaster ride and now I’m looking forward to the final round of La Liga on Sunday!

Oh, yeah I still know something you don’t know!

And we’re still waiting for Carmen to give birth to little Rosalia, I think it will happen in the early AM tomorrow!

Maternity leave 10 weeks!

I must add that Christina is sharing her maternity leave with me, so I’ll be off work until the 3rd of August. Thats 10 weeks! Now the question is, how long will I be able to stay away from work?

Anyway the plan is to enjoy my family, go for walks at the beach with Paloma (as soon as the weather turns), start my running routines (at least 3 times a week), in general relieve Christina a bit so she can have some time for herself as well (She misses the gym!). I’m sure I’m going to enjoy this!

I hate organizing events…

….cause I always leave it until the last minute. Next week is Loma’s christening and I haven’t organized a thing. I even, still, have invites I haven’t sent out. Well I got beer. Henrik and Euge went with me to Germany last week (Burg), where we had lunch in the town centre, there we met the town mascot Wolfgang. He bought the guys an Averna (a bitter, not for me I was driving) and gave us his number so he could show us around the next time came. Dude, knew Spunk bar in Istedgade!!!!! Anyway I got beer, let’s see what else I get for the reception.  OMG, we got wedding o plan as well! Chris can take of that!

Babies Rock!

I just love waking up in the morning to a big smile. Paloma is just one happy baby. No matter how lousy a sleep I’ve gotten, how bad my day has been the day before or whatever, I just need my daily dose of baby morning smile. Yeah!

Sleep, I need it!

Well, karma got me for boasting that I did not need to get up in the early AM’s. It’s now 2:35 in the AM and I’ve been up with Paloma for 2 hours! She has just fallen asleep and guess what?.. my eyes are wide open! This is what every parent must go through, I guess. Well, I think I’ll be starting a love affair to coffee during the day!
