I was off for the Easter holidays for 10 days straight. But sadly Paloma caught a stomach virus and was out cold for 5 days without being able to keep any food in. But believe me she made a huge comeback and the only word she knows these days is “mamam”. Any way, why the Maki rolls (pic above)? Well as usual we have fish on Good Friday and we made loads of Maki rolls and I had to take pictures of that and if you go here there will be a few more of the pics of the delights (home made) and of Paloma at the annual Easter lunch at Christinas parents.
Oh yeah, Lent ended Sunday and I stuck to everything on my list except the 5 day a week work out (maybe 2 a week in average). When Sunday came I had my chocolate biscuits and that was it. I’ve lost 6kg and I’ve decided to continue to stay of the dairys.

Almost 2 months since I’ve made a post. Well let me update you guys. It’s been all about Paloma. Our little baby girl is getting bigger (see some of her pictures on her blog) and more active, and yes she is still sleeping. We put her to bed between 1915-2015 and she will first need our attention between 6-7 in morning the next day. Chris and I have been blessed with a baby that enjoys her sleep so don’t hate us out there. We feel for you guys that don’t get your sleep;-). Paloma is soon 5 months old and she will be christened the 19th of May 2007. After the ceremony we will have a little reception out in Dragør with a little bit to eat and drink, we’re trying to keep it small and intimate. Yeah, we’ll see how that’s gonna go!
So really it’s just been work, Paloma, Christina and Lent! Every year up to Easter it’s been a tradition in my family to give something up for lent. This year I gave up wheat, sweets, cake, cookies, all drinks (except water and milk) and cheese. Christina was supportive and gave up cheese. It wasn´t that bad really, it was more tough for Christina. We normally have a whole shelf reserved just for cheese and that’s her weak spot. I once gave up meat for the full 40 days, that was a nightmare!
A month ago Euge and I decided to have a boys night out just before Easter, as we hadn’t been out in ages as we just recently joined the club of fatherhood. We decided on April 4th, so we ended up being a bunch of guys having a nice dinner at Quattro Fontane. It was Jonathan Hansen, Was, Daniel C (Yeah, home from DC for the week), Daniel B, Mars, Alex, Dennis, Stevie, John C, Rune, Brian Euge and myself. Later Hendrik, his brother in law and a friend joined us. Then came Mik and his couisins Robert and Wallneck from Poland. They were plastered. We ordering about 140 shots and 5 liter liqour bowl. I was home at 3 am and Chris had already set up a bottle of water, Paracetamol, a banana and 2 cookies for me. I got up at 9 am to go spinning and that was a night mare, I was still drunk. The longest spinning class I’ve ever been on. Anyway it was nice evening out with the guys and I can feel that we’re all getting a bit more “Pops” but it’s alright.
So the plan for Easter looks like this:
- Thursday relax (hungover)
- Friday Easter lunch at Chris’ parents
- Saturday Easter Barbeque at Uncle Jerry’s
- Sunday and Monday just relax
So to everybody out there sorry for the late post and a happy Easter to you all!
