Lolas christening!

October 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Thanks to the +120 guests who turned up to celebrate the christening of Ophelia Lola Soriano! The day started about 11 AM at our local church, Sct. Annes, where Father Wieslaw held a record-breaking ceremony of about 25 min! Lola slept through the ceremony and made it really easy for us. Lolas godparents were Malene (longtime friend of Christina), Gitte (Christinas cousin), Michel (Jonathans Cousin) & all the way from the States Daniel (longtime friend of Jonathan).

After the christening the party continued in Dragoer, were Christinas grandmother has a summerhouse. The venue was perfect and at same place where Palomas christening was held. And  forget about the weather, it was amazing, I dare say it was one of the last summerdays of the year, end of September and people were seeking shade because of the sun. Out of the +120 guests about 30 of them were kids and they had loads of fun and luckily there was a great playground for them to frolic around.

Thanks to Grandpa Jesse and Lolo Jerry for the fantastic food and there was plenty of it. And the cakes were popular as well, instead of having one kind of dessert we opted for many different cakes…we had some of the guest make them. Huge success, thanks to Angela, Nat, Malene, Great Grandma Hanne, Christina, Anna, Mormor Birte and not to forget Morfar Asger (yes, we did enjoy your banana cake)!

And thank you everyone for the gifts – much too much. Lola got a lot of cool gifts and a wad of cash for her saving’s account. We wanted to buy a cargo bike from the money, but we decided to buy it for the girls as a gift for them both. Again thanks to grandpa Jesse & Lolo Jerry for making the food, Mormor & Morfar for the contributions and everyone for making the day special!

For more pics press here and have a look at who was there (more will be added November 1, 2009)!

Massive hugs & kisses to you all

Sopranos? No, Sorianos!

My sister, Cousins, adopted Cousins, well family! Were interviewed for BitchSlap Magazine 9 (page 104-5). The interview was last summer but they got their laptop stolen with all the data except for the cool photo shoot. As you can see the article has a cool title and great pix portraying my family 1000 times tougher than they actually are and a “make no sense” self explanatory article (Sorianos are lovable and dependable party animals who loves their family and their food).

2008-10-28-The test

That’s right, most of you already know that Chris is Preggers again. We are so exited in the Soriano household. So next summer around the 23rd of June 2009 nr.2 will pop out.

Michel was the first in the family to know (He’s always the last to know and usually 6 months after).

To the right there is a link for the Baby Sorianos arrival.

And I’m sure that we’ll have another competetion on what day the baby will arrive stay updated for that.

Enjoy Paloma the soon to be big sister:
