Yans Wok

May 18, 2008 · 1 Comment

Friday we went out to eat at Yans Wok with Terry and Daniel C as they were home for Daniels Moms wedding. But as a tradition on the site we always write a few words on what ever restaurant we ‘ve been to, and have somehow always forgotten to write about this one: Yans Wok! For the past 3 years I would say we’ve been at least 6 times, so I guess it must be good, no, I know it’s good. We always have the big menu which is the following:

Starter 1:

  • Springroll with salmon

Starter 2:

  • Chinese pancakes with duck, spring onions, cucumber and hoisin sauce

Main course:

  • Sweet and sour king shrimp
  • Tender beef and vegetables in a pepper sauce

Dessert:

  • Black rice pudding with vanilla ice cream

And of course we had Shrimp toast on the side! It is so good! Only one thing that sucks about it… Their website. Check here!

Oh yeah, for Mik and Gings who have lost the “Lai Hoo” Magic, they make your chicken wings, and the family that started “Lai Hoo” are the ones running this one.

Project Interior Decorating

May 18, 2008 · 2 Comments

Paloma needs her own space and now she has it. But where does Momma and Poppa go? Well for the past 3 months we’ve been talking about building walls and sliding doors. But we ran in to a solution called the Dvider and found it awesome but expensive (being situated in the US). But thanks to the Ikea Hacker site (cool site: literally hacks their products) we found some of the things we needed to make a solution for Momma and Poppas bedroom. It was cheap and took half a day including the shopping.

This was the room before the divider:

This is the same angle with the divider:

Sidsel Storm out now!

Thursday we were at Christinas friend Sidsels release party for her new Jazz album at Nørrebro Bryghus (Sidsel was the fine lady who sang at our wedding!). Jazzy and mellow tunes and good beer! Hear the tunes (and buy!) at www.sidselstorm.dk and if you are from or in Copenhagen Ms Storm will be performing at different venues during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival also at above mentioned microbrewery slash restaurant. Oh and she does rock, “Butterflies and Lovers” rocks!

UPS!

Today, Paloma and I are having father and daughter day. We’ve been to DGI-byen which is a really cool culture and sportsactivity center. We went to their swimming facilities (It’s cool check it out here) where there were loads of kids and we met Brian and Noah who were having a father son day. After an hour and blue lips Paloma still did’nt want to go but she was bribed with a banana and came peacefully.

After swimming we went visit “farmor” where Paloma had her lunch and then it was “zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz” time on the bike home. Paloma is still sleeping while I’m writing this post and 10 min ago i tried to cut her hair. The picture clearly illustrates that I’m no good at hair dressing. Looking forward to her mommas reaction! Lol!
