Rosalia…

…arrived Saturday weighing in 3050 grams and 52 cm long and making proud parents out of Benny & Carmen. We met this little gem for the first time Sunday. The cutest lil’ girl with the longest fingers. Pictures will follow (forgot the camera)!

I want a boat!

For the past couple of years I’ve been talking about getting a boat. The big Q’s has been:

• what kind?
• How much will you spend?
• How much work is there keepin’ it?

I realized that I wasn’t willing to spend to much time putting in the effort to maintain a boat.  I talked to Jonathan Hansen about taking “dueligheds tegnet” (sailing certificate). I would like to at one point but sailing demands time and is a lot more ambitious than what I’m willing for. Christina’s parents just got themselves a new sailboat (named it Paloma) and the time Asger put into it before it hit water made me sweat. So we can scratch the sailboat for now (maybe when I retire one day).

I then talked to Euge and Henrik about getting a motorboat together with them (I believe that collaboration is still alive) a boat where we could sit 4-5 people and drink beer and where there would be place to crash if one of us for some reason would end in the couch at home anyway . But still alot of work until Euge told us that his father would love to join in our plans as he’s an avid fisher. Bingo, a man who would probably love to spend the time and the love on a boat. Not a bad idea! But if we don’t find a way to do make this happen I will do all I can to get a little speedboat in time, it will be on my list for Santa! Last week I was sitting at “Christianshavns bådudlejning”, which is a cafe in the canals of Christianshavn, enjoying a beer with Benni just watching the small speedboats cruising by in the summer night. It was so appealing that if I had the means I would  have been doing the same the day after. So I concluded if the collaboration with Euge & Henrik does not happen, I have my Q’ answered for what I want in a boat:

• water sports/waterskiing
• cruisin
• small (13 footer)

Speedboats can be pricy, but if I were to invest in something new it would be something like an Ørnvik (Swedish produced):

But lets see what happens, I could get lucky and find a good used one as well. But first of all I’ll need a speedboat license!

Update

Hey folks it’s been a while. I know! I’ve been on leave for 2,5 weeks now. It’s cool being at home with my little family Paloma is just getting bigger and bigger (that reminds me that her page needs an update as well). The whole of last week I was out with a sore throat, snotty nose and a ridiculous cough and the weather here in DK was freakin tropical. Just my luck!

Before going on leave I got a new position at work, I’ll be working as a Product Sales Manager. I know I don’t talk much about my job here but I just feel like the character “Chandler Bing” from “Friends” The guy who loves his job but nobody knows what he’s doing. Anyway I’m looking forward to it when I get back!

What else? Oh yeah, Saturday was a great evening. Zaragoza-Real Madrid/Barca-Espanyol/Mallorca-Sevilla, 3 ties to keep Madrid on top and the timing of the goals in two of the matches, wow. It was a rollercoaster ride and now I’m looking forward to the final round of La Liga on Sunday!

Oh, yeah I still know something you don’t know!

And we’re still waiting for Carmen to give birth to little Rosalia, I think it will happen in the early AM tomorrow!

It’s too freakin’ hot!

I shouldn’t complain about the weather but a few degrees less would suit me fine. Paloma has trouble sleeping and even Chris can get a bit cranky in the warm weather.

Didn’t you just hate to hear that when you were a kid? Wasn’t it the worst feeling that some bast#¤% kid would tease with those very words? It did me and it still would.
